It's been a while since we all went to Tea Shop 168. We originally thought of hitting up the new Chatime at Commerce Gate. We didn't bring our riot gear so we decided on the second tiered bubble tea place, Tea Shop 168. This place served all the rejects from Chatime.
We placed our order and had a fun-filled night catching up while sipping our drinks. It got late and asked for the bill. Upon our initial inspection, we noticed that they charged us twice for some squid ball and sesame toast. Let's double back. Two of the guests placed food orders but it never came so we asked them to follow up on the order, hence the double charge. We'll forgive them on this one since it's Good Friday.
We got the amended bill and scrutinized the bill for additional discrepancies. We noticed that the service charge was charged twice!
We get a smiley face note saying that service charge is not included in the bill, then get slapped with a service charge and another one on the subtotal.
A note on the service. Nothing spectacular. We got our menus and our drinks at a reasonable time. Food was another story. No smiles from the waitress, nor did she asked how the drinks were.
This place won't be seeing my face again. On the bright side, I didn't get food poisoned yet...
